Forever Young

Change

I am so sad to see Marko's fall baseball season come to an end.....but all things must change.
He is sooooo obsessed with baseball....He is just like my dad and knows every weird fact and statistic about the major league.
Play Ball!!!

Try new things. Change again. Make another change. Experiment with something else.
You will certainly know better things and worse things than those you already know, but that does not matter. What matters most is change, movement, dynamism, energy.
Only what is dead does not change – and you are alive.
-Paulo Coelho

Love

There's only one word large enough to describe "All that is," and that's the word love.

celebrating my mom's birthday

The longer I live, the more beautiful life becomes!!!!

Love

‎"When I say it's you I like, I'm talking about that part of you that knows that life is far more than anything you can ever see or hear or touch. That deep part of you that allows you to stand for those things without which humankind cannot survive. Love that conquers hate, peace that rises triumphant over war, and justice that proves more powerful than greed."

Boxland

For the second year in a row, Mira participated in "Boxland." She slept in a cardboard box all night up at the football field to bring attention to the plight of the homeless and poverty. Thank you Cheryl Kruczek for the awesome pictures!!!!

Please read the quote below and enjoy!!!!
Namaste,
Michele

"If I had my child to raise all over again,I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later.I'd finger-paint more, and point the finger less.I would do less correcting and more connecting.I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes.I'd take more hikes and fly more kites. I'd stop being serious and seriously play. I'd run through more fields and gaze at more starts. I 'd do more hugging and less tugging!!!!

connection

We cannot suffer well unless we see Christ everywhere--both in suffering and in the charity of
those who come to the aid of our affliction.

- Thomas Merton, "No Man is an Island"

Allowing

We must be ready to allow ourselves to be interrupted by God. God will be constantly
crossing our paths and cancelling our plans by sending us people with claims and
petitions. We may pass them by, preoccupied with our more important tasks, as the priest passed by the man who had fallen among thieves, ..... it is part of the discipline of humility that we must not spare our hand
where it can perform a service and we do not assume that our schedule is our own to
manage, but allow it to be arranged by God.

- Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Connection

Above is a view from our van :) I hope you enjoy the words below. Namaste, Michele

‎"Generally speaking, the most miserable people I know are those who are obsessed with themselves; the happiest people I know are those who lose themselves in the service of others...By and large, I have come to see that if we complain about life, it is because we are thinking only of ourselves."
— Gordon B. Hinckley

The search for someone to blame is always successful!
