Hi Michele,
I like the Bill Moyers quote! I love his program too. I just wanted to let you know I've finished reading Eat, Pray, Love...what a wonderful book! One of my all-time favorites! I can really identify with parts of her journey...her words from her website sums up what I feel too, from my life journey..."I do feel that I am changed. There is a small, new holy part of me which I hold onto and treasure very carefully - cupping it in my hands like a freshly lit match. I try to protect that new part of me as much as possible from the sheering winds of 21st Century America. (Generally, this means avoiding particularly spastic invasions of too much television, consumer debt, competition, over-consumption, success-pressure, greed and other forms of our daily cultural life.)" I also liked how she spoke of finding stillness and stepping into our own light. Like finding the marvelous, huh! :)

Ohhhh I love that quote Kristie...and your summary of it.
Can I use it for my next post???
so true!!
I think I felt that way at the Medina Football game last night.
We left after half time...but too much stimulation for me.

Well I hope you are having a great day....I am off to work this morning.

Hi Michele! Yes you may!

Between work today I'm going to check out our little harvest fest downtown...there's a blue grass band performing that I've heard before and really like! Then tonight I have a ticket to go see a music group from Mexico! They are sponsored through Arts Midwest and have held workshops this past week at our area schools. I just love music! This organization in the recent past has also brought a French/Canadian Celtic group from Quebec, and group from Mongolia, which included throat singing and music played on traditional horse hair fiddles. They were awesome! Here you and I were just sharing how over-stimulated our lives can be but when it comes to music...not possible in my opinion! :)

Hope you are having a great day too!

Now I don't feel that way about music either.
The show you are going to attend sounds awesome!!!
and something I would enjoy too.
Music can put me in the zone.
I am so looking forward to the change rocks concert at Penn State.
What is the name of the group you are going to go see tonight???
have fun!!!

Michele

The name of the group was Los Utrera and it was a fun evening! The other two groups I spoke of were called Mauvais Sort and Anda Band. I believe we have another coming in the spring from Israel. It's so nice there are organizations that sponsor groups like these so we can learn about and enjoy each other's cultures. Music is a great way to do that!
I hope you have a wonderful time at your upcoming concert! It sounds exciting! I attended a Scottish/Irish festival about three weeks ago and enjoyed some really good music there too!
Namaste,
Kristie
ps. Thank you also for your kind words! and for posting my website...I think you and your girls are talented photographers as well! Your site is always a joy to visit. :)
