99 red balloons go by

saw this on the way home last night.....Macy took the pictures.
Namaste,
Michele

I want to have a lasting experience with God.
Sometimes I feel like I
understand the divinity of this world,
but then I loose it because I get
distracted
by my petty desires and fears.

I want to be with God all the time.
But I don't want to be a monk, or
totally give up worldly pleasures.
I guess what I want to learn is how to live in this world
and enjoy its
delights, but also elevate myself to God.

Being Genuine

My birthday dinner with my family at Wasabi.
hope you like the words below.......and have a great day.
Namaste,
Michele

Take care of the problems now,
or else you'll just have to suffer again
later when you screw everything up the next time.
And that repetition of
suffering - that's hell.
Moving out of that endless repetition to a new
level of understanding
- there's where you'll find heaven.

finding stillness

above picture taken by Mira

Today I am posting what my friend, Kristie said in a comment.
She is a friend I met online...and her words always seem to connect with me.
She loves nature and is such a talented photographer.
here is a link to her website and her beautiful pictures:

Kristie's website

and below is a note she sent me and gave me permission to post.
have a great day.

Michele

I just wanted to let you know I've finished reading Eat, Pray, Love...what a wonderful book! One of my all-time favorites! I can really identify with parts of her journey...her words from her website sums up what I feel too, from my life journey..."I do feel that I am changed. There is a small, new holy part of me which I hold onto and treasure very carefully - cupping it in my hands like a freshly lit match. I try to protect that new part of me as much as possible from the sheering winds of 21st Century America. (Generally, this means avoiding particularly spastic invasions of too much television, consumer debt, competition, over-consumption, success-pressure, greed and other forms of our daily cultural life.)" I also liked how she spoke of finding stillness and stepping into our own light. Like finding the marvelous, huh! :)

WE'RE BACK......

Howdy, Howdy, Howdy.

We are back from camping and it was a lot of fun.

Very relaxing.

I have made a decision not to post on here everyday.

I think the last few weeks, I have been searching sometimes as to what to post here.

I don't want to search anymore, I want to wait for the right thing to come along and and really feel that it is just right
and then post it when it is the right time for me.

I hope you are having a great day.

Above is a picture from camping and below is a quote from one of my favorite books in the

whole wide world. I took it camping and read through it again.

lots of pearls of wisdom in there for me.

Namaste,

Michele

Eat Pray Love

I am reading Eat, Pray, Love right now.
Anyone ever read it?
My friend Sue and then my friend Gail told me about it.....so I bought it for my mom for Valentines Day.
My mom liked it so much that she gave it back for me to read.
so finally I am reading it..... then I went to yoga class yesterday and my yoga instructor is reading it right now too......love those synchronicities!

read the quote from the book below:
this is quote from Elizabeth's friend that she met at the ashram:
"Imagine that the universe is a great spinning engine. You want to stay near the core of the thing--right in the hub of the wheel--not out at the edges where all the wild whirling takes place, where you can get frayed and crazy. The hub of calmness--that's your heart. That's where God lives within you. So stop looking for answers in the world. Just keep coming back to that center and you'll always find peace."
