Life

Turn your wounds into wisdom.

You will be wounded many times in your life.

You'll make mistakes.

Some people will call them failures

but I have learned that failure is really God's way of saying,

"Excuse me, you're moving in the wrong direction."

It's just an experience, just an experience.

wisdom

Pair # 5????

When people show you who they are, believe them, the first time.
Not the
29th time!
That is particularly good when it comes to men situations
because
when he doesn't call back the first time, when you are mistreated the first time, when you see someone who shows you a lack of integrity or dishonesty the first time, know that that will be followed by many, many, many other times that will at some point in life come back to haunt or hurt you.
When
people show you who they are, believe them, the first time. Live your life from truth and you will survive everything, everything, I believe even death. You will survive everything if you can live your life from the point of view of truth. That took me a while to get, pretending to be something I wasn't, wanting to be somebody I couldn't, but understanding deep inside myself when I was willing to listen, that my own truth and only my own truth could set me free.

Hey Fred, You wanna go bowling???

My mother was really telling me to go ahead and love life,
to engage in it, give it all you've got.
To love it with a passion.

Mickey and Minnie

Mira and Macy dressed up like Mickey and Minnie for our next door neighbor's birthday party. It was a lot of fun. Brooke loves Mickey and Minnie. I hope you enjoy the quote below.
Namaste,

Michele

I've learned that you shouldn't go through life with a catcher's mitt on both hands;
you need to be able to throw something back.

The Unknown

“It is this belief in a power larger than myself
and other than myself which allows me
to venture into the unknown and even the unknowable.”

When You Come

I love this poem...and here it was written today on the sidewalk behind the high school.
I saw this on our walk up to the school where Macy had her choir concert tonight.
hope you enjoy this poem too.
Love,
Michele

When you come to me, unbidden,
Beckoning me
To long-ago rooms,
Where memories lie.

Offering me, as to a child, an attic,
Gatherings of days too few.
Baubles of stolen kisses.
Trinkets of borrowed loves.
Trunks of secret words,

I CRY.

On needing each other

A few years ago my room mate from college, Sangita, and her beautiful family came
to visit. It was the first time I got to meet 3 of their 4 kids.
Aren't they beautiful?
I wish they lived closer.....They live in Danville, California.
Enjoy the words below!!!
Namaste,
Michele

The wisdom of not having to Know

This is a hazy morning at the Berea quarry taken a few years ago....Mark and I lived in Berea for about 5 years before kids. .....kinda illustrates what Maya Angelou says below......just observing the mysteries of the world and not needing to know the "why" or "how" of anything.....just falling into the wonder.
Good Day!! Love, Michele

Each person deserves a day away in which no problems are confronted, no solutions searched for. Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us. We need hours of aimless wandering or spates of time sitting on park benches, observing the mysterious world of ants and the canopy of treetops. - Maya Angelou.
