Surrender

My dad took Macy to the Indian's game last night and she got to meet mustard.
They stayed after the game to get autographs from players.
hope you like the words below.
Namaste,
Michele

The door to the Divine Presence opens
when you no longer need to make reality fit your pictures of how it should be,
when you can surrender everything you think you know

and come to each moment empty of expectations.

When you are able to surrender in this way,
you realize
that God is not some abstraction, but a living presence in your life.
It is the breath that animates all forms,
the ultimate inclusive understanding,

the quintessential blessing of love on all things.

Freedom

Well we are almost done with our vacation.
Sunset Beach has to be one of the best kept secrets around.
Have a great day and enjoy the quote below.
Namaste,
Michele

If you want to be fee, you must have the courage to be yourself
even when others judge you or disagree with you.

and you must respect the right of others to be true to themselves,
even when they push your buttons.
You can't be free if you are allowing someone else to
be an authority for you.

or if you are trying to be an authority figure for someone else.

Opening

Above are pictures from Medina Strings' (grade 5-8) concert on the square today.
beautiful day.....beautiful concert.
Hope you like the words below!!!
Namaste,
Michele

Today is a day of rest, a day of meditation, a day of going inward.
It is a day to surrender the past, to forgive, to let go of the aspects of your life that no longer work. It is a day to affirm the essence of who you are and to open yourself to a new vision of the future. -Paul Ferrini

your spiritual growth

This is Macy and her cousin, Eliza

Your Spiritual growth does not happen when you are peaceful and content.
It happens when you get angry, greedy, jealous, critical,or impatient.
It happens when you loose your "spiritual mask" and realize that you are not superman
or -woman, but just an ordinary human being learning how to love.

Heaven on Earth

who is that lady standing in the doorway??
now this lady seems to be an expert at the crow pose.....ha..ha....no now.all I see are lots of ways to improve this pose.

above are pictures that Macy took during my yoga class at Omega.
Macy took a photography class and came into my class and took pictures.
have a great day and enjoy the quote below.
sometimes I feel the heaven on earth...and other times I don't feel it....still working on that one.
love,
Michele

Heaven on earth means you are absolutely delighted with your life just the way it is. You aren’t trying to fix yourself, manifest more money, a better job or a bigger house. You find the sacred right here and right now. That is also where you connect with the creative energy that wants to express in your life.
Abundance comes as we learn to trust the Creative source inside us. We can’t do that when we are busy finding fault with our lives. (IE: thinking that my butt looks big in the crow pose picture)

The Mystery

Remember that life does not come in a tidy package. It retains its ragged edges, it's ambiguity, and alas, it's mystery. That is not necessarily a bad thing.

It is better for you to keep asking the questions than to find an answer that makes you dull and complacent.

The Rhythm of life

Today was a beautiful day.....Mira and Macy danced in the pink ribbon showcase....
a benefit for breast cancer.....One of the dances was dedicated to my friend Sue Rudo
who is fighting breast cancer. This a picture from that dance. Sue came to the event.

I am amazed by her enthusiasm for life and her ability to be so loving
and so giving during

a period in life which she feels crappy a lot of the time and has to deal
with chemo therapy and radiation and she just keeps on going
.....for sure one of my heroes and teachers in life!!

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Hope you enjoy the quote below.
Namaste,
Michele

If you want to dance with another, root your self first. Learn to hear you own guidance. Dialogue with the hurt child and divine host within. Practice forgiveness and compassion for yourself. Be with your experience and learn from it. Stay in the rhythm of life. Be open to others, but do not go out of your way to find them. Those who know how to dance will meet you half way. It will not be a struggle. You will feel companionship without effort.

completion

COMPLETION

Don’t be surprised when people come to you with the expectation that you make them whole. It is a common occurrence. But don’t take the bait. You cannot complete another, nor can another complete you.
Each of you must find your own completeness.
Each of you must know that you are already enough.

Attachment

I get log jammed a lot....seems like the only thing that helps to open the flow is silence....
when I sit in silence I clear my attachments.....yoga, sketching, morning walks help too, but I think it is the silence.....the clearing of all that clutters my mind.
Have a great day.....hope you like the quote below.
Love, Michele

Attachment

What is in the mind does not belong to the mind. The content of consciousness flows in and out. But mind is not the content.
Attachment to content creates a log-jam in the river of mind. It complicates and confuses. For everything that we want there is something that we don’t want.
This attachment is an attempt to control what cannot be controlled.

Every time you surrender ego, more ego comes up. That is the nature of the process. It doesn’t mean that you are doing anything incorrectly. It just means that you are going deeper.

An Open Mind

Maxine and Mira

AN OPEN MIND
Peace and clarity are the attributes of an open mind.

An open mind does not cherish opinions or harbor prejudices.

It is not preoccupied with judgments or interpretations.

An open mind is unfettered and free to respond to the challenges of the moment.

It does not dwell on the past or fantasize about the future.

It is present right here and now.

As a result, it is open to all of the possibilities that might arise.

The Plan for Your Awakening

Hiking at Hocking Hills State Park.

Everything that happens to you is part of the plan for your awakening, including those challenging events that force you to shift out of your inertia and self-limiting behavior patterns.
From the depth of your soul, you call out for growth. You pray to be released from your burdens and to discover and express your gifts.
