wisdom

I see peace!!!!!!
I hope you do too.
Namaste,
Michele

This is how a human being can change:
there's a worm in the garden addicted to leaves.
Suddenly, it wakes up.
Call it grace, whatever you will,
something awakens it,
and its no longer a worm.
Now its flying over the entire garden,
and the orchard too,
with its fruit and its sea of leaves.
Inside is a growing wisdom and joy
that doesn't need to devour anything
anymore.

What a long, strange trip it's been!!!

The picture above is one that my friend, Nikki sent me from back "in the day."
She used to tour with the Grateful Dead!!!!! This should be on an album cover!!!!!!
She is the one sitting on the ground.
I hope you enjoy the quote below.
Namaste,

Surrender

Well, Macy's vision board worked. She is the one that wanted to do the vision boards and said she was going to put cats all over it....so she could manifest one. I told her to put as many cats on her board as she wanted, but she was not going to get one.

Then last Monday night, I was walking in the park (without my ipod) and I hear this "Meow."
It turned out that it was a kitty stuck in a tree.....a very skinny and hungry kitty. I called Mark and Mira and they came down with a ladder. When I went to pick up Macy from dance, I told her what had happened and that the kitty was just staying with us until we found a home. She went tearing into the house and said " I can't wait to meet my new kitty."

Well, Jessie is still here and we are getting more and more attached to him....even Dusty seems to like him.

I hope you like the quote below.

Namaste,

Michele

"Very little grows on jagged rock. Be ground. Be
crumbled, so wildflowers will come up where you are. You've been stony for too many years. Try something different. Surrender."

Boxland 09

Pictures by Logan Robertson

Well Mira and her friends survived sleeping in their cardboard boxes last night in 34 degree rainy weather. Mira did say she really appreciates having a warm bed. The kids raised over $4,000.00 to be donated to the Salvation Army. Marko even donated $6.00 of his own allowance to Mira....he says he would do that anytime to get rid of his sister for a night.
Anyway, I am very proud of these kids.....more things like this should be in the media. I hope you enjoy the quote below.
Namaste,

Michele

Load the ship and set out. No one knows for certain whether the vessel will sink or reach the harbor.
Cautious people say, "I'll do nothing until I can be sure".
Merchants know better. If you do nothing, you lose.
Don't be one of those merchants who wont risk the ocean.

On being alive

These are baseball related pictures of Marko.
He says "Baseball is my passion."
One picture was taken at the Indian's Game.
My dad has taken him the past two Friday nights and he got to meet Mustard last week.
The other is of him playing ball.....he is in a fall baseball league.
I hope you enjoy the words below!!

have only clear being there.

Being present

I saw this sticker on a car the other day....I really liked it.
hope you enjoy the quote below!!
Namaste,
Michele

Brother stand the pain; Escape the poison of your impulses.
The sky will bow to your beauty, if you do. Learn to light the candle.
Rise with the sun. Turn away from the cave of your sleeping.
That way a thorn expands to a rose. A particular glows with the universal.

Hidden treasure

The most secure place to hide a treasure of gold
is some desolate, unnoticed place.

and so it is said,

Meditation

Mira and Macy took this picture over the weekend. I found it on the computer. I love the quote below....kinda how meditation is for me...helps me get out of the ego and just be with what is. I don't think I have to go in search for the answers.....just being in one place and staying still in the moment ......helps me find the answer.
read below.
Namaste,
Michele

Out beyond ideas of wrong-doing and right-doing
There is a field
I'll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass

The world is too full to talk about.

Love it all!!!

I loved the words below and I hope that you do too!!!!

Love it all!!!
Love,

Michele

Tomorrow in our country alone, unknown millions face a dangerous surgery or procedure. Soldiers abroad will risk death. Babies will be born. Lovers will revel in their passion. Tired, loving parents will do their best. Some who are quite young will long to be older. Others will silently weep over youth forever lost.

Rumi invites us to love it all. Celebrate our pain and loss. Open to the love that surrounds us. Each event or challenge or joy is a precious thread in the tapestry of your life.

We have baskets of fresh bread upon our heads,

yet we go door to door asking for crusts.

Knock on the inner door, no other!

….We’re like pearls in the shell

on the bottom of the ocean saying

“Where’s the water?”

These mental questionings form the barrier!

Beg for love expansion.

Meditate only on that!

One special, specific task

yet another goofy picture...this time of Mira and her friend, Kate.
hope you enjoy the words below!!!
Namaste,
Michele

It is as if a king had sent you to a country to carry out one special, specific task. You go to the country, and you perform a hundred other tasks, but if you have not performed the task you were sent for, it is as if you have performed nothing at all. So man has come into the world for a particular task, and that is his purpose. If he doesn't perform it, he will have done nothing

on our jouney

my favorite Rumi quote!!
I made this years ago when I was painting outside with the kids.
For some reason...it is still hanging in our garage.
It reminds me to let go.

Your task is not to seek for love,
but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself
that you have built against it.

will eventually open a window
