On the subject of inspiration:

When you are inspired by some great purpose,
some extraordinary project,
all of your thoughts break their bonds
Your mind transcends limitations.
Your consciousness expands in every direction.
And you find yourself in a new,
great and wonderful world.
Dormant forces, faculties and talents come alive
and you discover yourself to be a greater person
by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be.

Afterall, It is still a beautiful world

I bet you don't have these beautiful works of art in your backyard....do you???
Mark made yard artwork in the back.....I wonder what the neighbors really think of us.
We were once at a party and I heard one neighbor talking about us....she said" they are really, really nice .......but they are really really different."
Anyway....different we are......maybe not from this planet....eh???
Today was an emotional day......Mira and Macy tried out for the San Jose ballet's nutcracker which will be downtown at playhouse square center. I think about 200+ girls tried out and only 40 made it. Well Macy made it and Mira didn't. Rollercoaster.
Mira is okay....she had a good additude.
She went to the Hard rock cafe and then to the Hockey game with Mark tonight and with her friend Taylor and Taylor's dad. It is so good that she had this planned for tonight.....it is like it was meant to be.
The Lake Erie Monsters Hockey team???.....I did not even know that Cleveland had a Hockey team.....I remember the Cleveland Crusaders...because Bill Fitch, the team coach or manager or whatever you call him was from Medina...and Lisa Fitch was in highschool when I was....I think she was a senior when I was a freshman.
I never heard of the Lake Erie Monsters until Mira won the tickets. Mira and her friend won tickets on 96.5 , KISS FM.
I don't think either one of them know anything about hockey.
Mira cheers for the 8Th grade football team and doesn't even understand football.
I don't either.....I understand everything about baseball....I was raised on baseball.
but anyway, during the football game, a referee threw a yellow flag on the field and Mira says really loud in her cheer uniform on the sidelines....."why did that man throw that yellow flag on the field.?" Mark got teased......people were asking him if he ever taught his daughter anything about football. Well to tell you the truth, I used to go to every Brown's game for years and attended all home football games when I was at Ohio State and I know nothing about football.
Anyway.....sorry to blab.......read below.
It is beautiful.........and so is the world.....even with all of the chaos I see....I still think it is a beautiful thing.
Love,
Michele

DESIDERATA, THE AFFIRMATION
adapted by Rachel Grey

(Take the challenge -- read it aloud.)

I go placidly amid the noise and the haste, remembering what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, I am on good terms with all persons. I speak my truth quietly and clearly; and I listen to others, even the dull and the ignorant--they too have their story. I avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit.

I try not to compare myself with others, for I know there will always be greater and lesser persons than myself. I enjoy my achievements as well as my plans. I keep interested in my own career, knowing it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

I exercise caution in my business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But I do not let this blind me to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. I am myself. I especially do not feign affection. Neither am I cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment I have seen it is perennial as the grass. I take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

I nurture strength of spirit to shield myself in sudden misfortune. But I do not distress myself with dark imaginings. I know that many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, I am gentle with myself. I am a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; I have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to me, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore, I am at peace with the world. And whatever my current labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, I keep peace in my soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Therefore, I am cheerful. I strive to be happy.

An upside down world

I think the world might be upside down.
and by that, I mean....what appears to be non urgent or something you will do later and you tend to "blow off" really might be the most
important issue at hand. and what appears to be so urgent or big and in your face
....really should be blown off for the non urgent stuff.
at least it is what happens to me anyway.
weird...huh???
Love,

Michele

And this groggy time we live,
this is what it's like:

A man goes to sleep in the town
where he has always lived, and he dreams he's living
in another town.

In the dream, he doesn't remember
the town he's sleeping in his bed in. He believes
the reality of the dream town.

The world is that kind of sleep.

A place where souls become one

"Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing

There is a field. I'll meet you there.

A soul who lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.

Ideas, language, even the phrase 'each other' doesn't make any sense."

There is more than one way!!!

Navajo Mandala

Macy was coloring a Mandala when I came home from visiting with Robear tonight.
She then gave me this quote (see below) to read.....pretty cool....I love to color mandalas.
Robear was a big inspiration to me. He is so calm and positive. He has been seeing Dr. Nemeh weekly. Have you ever heard of him??
check him out here:

He told Robear he had a tumor on his pancreas without Robear telling him anything.
I am going to this healing service with Robear on November 17th with Dr. Nemeh.
He and his sister got us tickets. Robear is combining traditional medicine (radiation) with energy medicine.

anyway, read the quote below.
and have a great day.

Michele

Where Are We??

is this hell, or just morton's steakhouse?

By Michele

this attorney from cleveland goes out on a deposition which was to last about 3 hours or so, when all of a sudden he feels himself being pulled down, down, down into this black space.......he first thinks he is going to hell, but there is no man in a red suit holding a pitchfork.....there is no fire and it isn't even hot there.......then he discovers he is really at Morton's Steakhouse, so he orders a steak, green beans and an iced tea.....he would rather have a long island iced tea, but he fears a headache.....while he is eating he notices the former mayor of cleveland sitting at a table near him.......he is eating a salad with ranch dressing on top....the attorney does not know what entree the former mayor has ordered but they have the same waiter....the attorney wants to ask the former mayor for an autograph but thinks this might not be the right thing to do..then in the middle of chewing his salad, the former mayor must have felt the urge to go the bathroom because he gets up and goes to the little boys room.......this is about the time when the attorney notices that his steak is ugly..... he quickly calls the waiter over to the table and announces: "I ordered a steak and it's ugly.".....the waiter quickly replies "well, sir, I don't like your shoes.".....the funny thing about this is the attorney is not wearing any shoes, he often liked to work barefoot..... sometimes he wears flip flops...orange ones with flowered tassles on the end.

On Living

No one imagines that a symphony is supposed to improve in quality
as it goes along, or that the whole object of playing it is to reach the finale.
The point of music is discovered in every moment of playing and listening to it.
It is the same, I feel, with the greater part of our lives,
and if we are unduly absorbed in improving them
we may forget altogether to live them.
    -Alan Watts
