Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think of the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the twin towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. And if you look for it, I've got a sneaking suspicion that love actually is all around.

Relax!!!

My parents had us over last night for a "back to school taco salad night."
It was very nice and relaxing.
My friend, Roberta was telling me about a research study done
re: what the happy memories that kids remember the most from their childhood................

and they are:

1. childhood pets

2. family vacations

3. memories of spending time with grandparents


Thankfully, our kids will have lots to remember then!!!!!

We are enjoying fresh tomatoes this year!!! They taste so much better than the ones from the store.....I don't think I can eat "store bought" tomatoes anymore. Marko is learning how to garden this year. The pictures above are of his tomato plants. My dad bought him some potted plants this year after Marko expressed interest in gardening and Marko has done a great job with them. He is also growing peppers and beans. :) I hope you enjoy the quote below!!! Namaste, Michele
