The Ego, however, is not who you really are. The ego is your self~image; it is your social mask; it is the role you are playing. Your social mask thrives on approval. It wants control, and it is sustained by power, because it lives in fear...

Trust

Trust that everything has a reason. Look for that reason rather than focusing on the chaos. Keep your mind open to the bigger picture.

No Accidents

My friend, Paul Sherlock wrote the most beautiful letter to his wife that passed over 10 years ago.
You can read it below.
It made me cry and then smile.
Have a great day.
Namaste,
Michele

It has been ten years today since you passed away.
> Hard to imagine that much time has gone by; it is longer than we were married.
> So much has occurred since I last laid eyes on you.
> My life has changed, evolved, radically.
> So much so that the only consistency I count on is, change.
> I live an existence today that I couldn’t have envisioned back those ten years.
> And while I have always been a restless soul, your passing was what sent me on my journey.
> I have no idea where this journey will lead me; but one thing I have learned over the years, is to be more accepting of the events that come up in my path.
> I am grateful for the gift of seeing life with a bit more patience- a perspective I consider one of the hallmark lessons I am to learn in this life. This lesson has been both identified and refined in the crucible of these many changes and challenges I have experienced over these past ten years.
> To see life with patience- to try to observe and act, rather than to see and react, would not have occurred without a reexamining of my life and my priorities your passing stirred within me.
> For that I am grateful.
> It is still numbing to think about how someone so vibrant and full of life as you, could have passed away at such a young age.
> It still leaves a hole.
> But I am patching that hole as best I can, filling it with love.
> A love of life and people that you taught me in my life with you.
> Thank you for the time we had, I still miss you and will love you always.

Coincidences

“How do you know which of your intentions is likely to be fulfilled? The answer lies in paying attention to the clues provided by the nonlocal mind. Notice the coincidences in your life. Coincidences are messages. They are clues from God or spirit or nonlocal reality, urging you to break out of your karmic conditioning, your familiar patterns of thinking. They are offering you an opportunity to enter a domain of awareness where you feel loved and cared for by the infinite intelligence that is your source. Spiritual traditions call this the state of grace."

Love

Macy and Cassie.....just being Macy and Cassie :)

"Love is considered the most basic emotion that human awareness can feel; therefore, it is the closest to the source of life. The burst of well-being you feel when you fall in love is due to the fact that you unconsciously open the channels of awareness that allow more Prana [Life Force] to flow."

what is normal anyway???

Mira got her temps today.........what a day :)

Namaste,
Michele

The possibility of stepping into a higher plane is quite real for everyone. It requires no force or effort or sacrifice. It involves little more than changing our ideas about what is normal.

The Privileged Lovers
by Rumi

The moon has become a dancer
at this festival of love.
This dance of light,
This sacred blessing,
This divine love,
beckons us to a world
beyond
only lovers can see with their eyes of fiery passion.
They are the chosen ones who have surrendered.
Once they were particles of light
now they are the radiant sun.
They have left behind
the world of deceitful games.
They are the privileged lovers

who create a new world
with their eyes of fiery passion.

Letting Go

chalk art by Mira :)

Every time you are tempted to react in the same old way, ask if you want to be a prisoner of the past or a pioneer of the future. The past is closed and limited, the future is open and free.

Inspriation

above are more pictures by Macy that she took at Omega Institute. These inspire me to keep on my path of practicing mindfulness. hope you are having a great day...and I hope you enjoy the quote below. Namaste, Michele

"When you feel inspired, more than ordinary thinking is involved. There is a sense of being uplifted, of suddenly breaking through. Old boundaries fall away, and one feels, if only for a moment, a rush of liberation" ~Deepak Chopra

softening the heart

Mira jumping into our lake.

"Once again we face a paradox, for it appears that softening your heart
and gently tending its wounds _will protect you from evil. Building a
fortress and defending yourself behind it will only make you more
vulnerable. Healing your own heart is the single _most powerful thing you
can do to change the world. Your own transformation will enable you to
withdraw _so completely from evil that you contribute to it by not one
word, one thought, or one breath."

You are what you perceive

"A verse from the Veda says,
'What you see, you become.'
In other words,
just the experience
of perceiving the world makes you what you are.
This
is a quite literal statement."
