beauty

Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.

faith

What could you not accept, if you but knew that everything that happens,
all events, past, present, and to come,
are gently planned by One Whose only purpose is your good?
-A Course in Miracles

The Privileged Lovers
by Rumi

The moon has become a dancer
at this festival of love.
This dance of light,
This sacred blessing,
This divine love,
beckons us to a world
beyond
only lovers can see with their eyes of fiery passion.
They are the chosen ones who have surrendered.
Once they were particles of light
now they are the radiant sun.
They have left behind
the world of deceitful games.
They are the privileged lovers

who create a new world
with their eyes of fiery passion.

AAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

The Ocean is a beautiful place to recharge your soul.
Have a great day!!

Seek out that particular mental attribute
which makes you feel most deeply and vitally alive,
along with which comes the inner voice which says, '
This is the real me,'
and when you have found that attitude,
follow it.

Ahhhhhhhhh

Yesterday was the first day of summer break.
Marko had a cook out and homework burning party.
ahhhhhh little boy energy is so different from little girl energy.....
but oh so beautiful.
hope you like the words below.

Naming something as bad
causes an emotional contraction within you.
When you let it be, without naming it,
enormous power is suddenly available to you.

Letting go

Yesterday was the last day of school for the kids :0

I took this picture in Marko's classroom.

I thought the dice were pretty cool.....see the bowl in the back.
Marko's class gave that to Mrs. Dickel yesterday.
I helped make it....each of the kids' faces are their actual thumb print.
it says 'thank you for being so sweet to us' inside the bowl....and it was stuffed with
candy.
anyway...hope you like the quote below....kinda goes with the roll of the dice above.

Play Ball!!

My dad took this picture of Marko after his game last night.
Marko got the game ball (the coach gives a player the game ball when they have made some
good plays in the game.)
Anyway, hope you like the words below.
Namaste,
Michele

It's Zen-like when you're doing good.
You are the ball and the ball is you.
It can do you no harm.

A common bond forms between you and this white sphere,
a bond based on mutual trust.
The ball promises not to fly over too many walls
after you have politely served it up to enemy hitters,
and you assure it that you will not allow
those same batters to treat the ball in a harsh or violent manner.
Out of this trust comes a power
that allows the pitcher to take control
of what otherwise might be an uncontrollable situation.

how far down the rabbit hole do you want to go?

"If I am practicing spiritual poverty,
which says that I own nothing, then
the problems aren't mine
and neither are the energy and compassion
pouring through my heart to try to solve them.
I am just a link in the
process.
If I don't take anything personally,
then I can do great work
without flagging.
The Dalai Lama once said, 'Try with all your might
-- to work very, very hard
-- to make the world a better place,
and if all your
efforts are to no avail . . . no hard feelings!'"

- Bo Lozoff, *Utne Reader*

Carry on

Maybe its too soon to be sure
But I really do believe
That someday
We're gonna have it all
So I try so hard
To keep the rhythm of a train
Rolling right along
When the ride gets rough
You got to carry on
Carry on

Love

How do you like these chairs???
I saw them at the Hessler Street Fair.
I need some of these.
Not feeling well today.......
who gets sick on their birthday????
Gotta get some sleep and get rid of this bug!
hope you like the words below.
Namaste, Michele

Listen to your heart.
If you can't hear what it's saying in this noisy world,
MAKE TIME for yourself.
Enjoy your own company.
Let your mind wander among the stars.
Try. Take Chances.
MAKE MISTAKES.
Life can be messy and confusing at times,

but it's also full of surprises.
The next rock in your path might be a stepping-stone.
Be happy.
When you don't have what you want, want what you have.
MAKE DO.
That's a well-kept secret of contentment.
There aren't any shortcuts to tomorrow.
You have to MAKE YOUR OWN WAY.
You need to know where you've been, too.
And if you ever get lost, don't worry.
The people who love you will find you.
Count on it.
Life isn't days and years.
It's what you do with time and with all the goodness
and grace that's inside you.
MAKE A BEAUTIFUL LIFE...
The kind of life you deserve.

I want to have a lasting experience with God.
Sometimes I feel like I
understand the divinity of this world,
but then I loose it because I get
distracted
by my petty desires and fears.

I want to be with God all the time.
But I don't want to be a monk, or
totally give up worldly pleasures.
I guess what I want to learn is how to live in this world
and enjoy its
delights, but also elevate myself to God.
-Elizabeth Gilbert

Being Genuine

My birthday dinner with my family at Wasabi.
hope you like the words below.......and have a great day.
Namaste,
Michele

Take care of the problems now,
or else you'll just have to suffer again
later when you screw everything up the next time.
And that repetition of
suffering - that's hell.
Moving out of that endless repetition to a new
level of understanding
- there's where you'll find heaven.

-Elizabeth Gilbert
