sooner or later we all discover that the important moments in life are not the advertised ones, not the birthdays, the graduations, the weddings, not the great goals achieved. The real milestones are less prepossessing. They come to the door of memory unannounced, stray dogs that amble in, sniff around a bit, and simply never leave. Our lives are measured by the these.

Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.

Being in the moment

The true task of spiritual life is not found in faraway places or unusual states of consciousness.
It is here in the present.
It asks of us a welcoming spirit
to greet all that life presents to us
with a wise, respectful, and kindly heart.
We can bow to both beauty and suffering,
to our entanglements and confusion,
to our fears and to the injustices of the world.
Honoring the truth in this way is the path to freedom.

~ Jack Kornfield ~

So much beauty in this world!!!

Look. This is your world! You can’t not look. There is no other world. This is your world; it is your feast. You inherited this; you inherited these eyeballs; you inherited this world of color. Look at the greatness of the whole thing. Look! Don’t hesitate. Open your eyes. Don’t blink.

AWAKENING

Peace!!!

We had a great time at the Hessler Street Fair this weekend............ Wonderful music, friends and weather!!!!!!
I hope you enjoy the quote below!!!

Namaste,
Michele

Living with integrity means:
* Not settling for less than what you know you deserve in your relationships.
* Asking for what you want and need from others.
* Speaking your truth, even though it might create conflict or tension.
* Behaving in ways that are in harmony with your personal values.
* Making choices based on what you believe, and not what others believe.

It's The End Of The World As We Know It (and I Feel Fine...)

Being Outside!!!!

Above are pictures from the mother-son campout last night at Marko's elementary school. It was so fun....and I hope you enjoy the words below.
Namaste,
Michele

What I want to say is that the past is the past, and the present is what your life is, and you are capable of choosing what that will be, darling citizen. So come to the pond, or the river of your imagination, or the harbor of your longing, and put your lips to the world. And live your life.

Love

Kindness

Of course I don't always follow this....I mess up a lot......but I try to keep this in my heart!!!
I suppose I post what I most need to learn about.

Michele

Passion For Life

This is Marko's first and only game this season which got rained out. So much rain here......he loves baseball.....he says it is his passion and "I just want to play baseball." He knows every statistic/position about every player in the MLB....he is like a walking encyclopedia.....just like his Grandpee. He and my dad have been to 8 games already and 7 of them were wins. He has seen a walk off home-run, a walk off grandslam home-run and a triple play by the Indians so far this year.
I hope you enjoy the words below!!!!
Namaste,
Michele

“Live life fully while you're here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up! You're going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process. Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and eliminate it. Don't try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human.”

Anthony Robbins

Life

We took Mira to see Ohio University this weekend. Mark is an alumni. It is such a beautiful campus......I even want to go there and be a college student again!!!!
I hope you enjoy the words below.
Namaste,
Michele

If Life Is A Game, These Are The Rules:
You will receive a body.
You will be presented with lessons.
There are no mistakes, only lessons.
A lesson is repeated until learned.
...Learning does not end.
"There" is no better than "here".
Others are only mirrors of you.
What you make of your life is up to you.
All your answers lie inside of you.
You will forget all of this at birth.”

-Cherie Carter-Scott

Happiness

We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.

who would like to see Hawaii again, good deeds, happiness

Peace

Mira

I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy.
"Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that." - MLK
