May I......
Marko learned how to make animals out of towels on our cruise. He is getting pretty good at it.
I hope you enjoy the words below!!!
Namaste,
Michele
May I see the things in front of me as they are, not as I think them to be. May I walk the steps ahead of me one at a time, not wondering if there's a map. May I say the things that fix things, not break them further apart. May I do what I need to do, not be distracted by what I can't. May I dream of what I hope for, not of what I fear.
These are the things I learned (in Kindergarten):
1. Share everything.
2. Play fair.
3. Don't hit people.
4. Put thngs back where you found them.
5. CLEAN UP YOUR OWN MESS.
6. Don't take things that aren't yours.
7. Say you're SORRY when you HURT somebody.
8. Wash your hands before you eat.
9. Flush.
10. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.
11. Live a balanced life - learn some and drink some and draw some and paint some and sing and dance and play and work everyday some.
12. Take a nap every afternoon.
13. When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands, and stick together.
14. Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the Stryrofoam cup: The roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that.
15. Goldfish and hamster and white mice and even the little seed in the Styrofoam cup - they all die. So do we.
16. And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first workd you learned - the biggest word of all - LOOK.

The Joy of Unselfish Giving
Time is not measured
by the years that you live
But by the deeds that you do and the joy that you give –
...And each day as it comes
brings a chance to each one
To love to the fullest,
leaving nothing undone
That would brighten the life
or lighten the load
Of some weary traveler
lost on life’s road
So what does it matter
how long we may live
If as long as we live
we unselfishly give.
Mira and Brian :)
When somebody yells at you and its not your fault, dont take it personally, its not your issue... its theirs. You always have the choice to walk away or try to share some commpassion and support. Choice is a wonderful thing.
The Ego, however, is not who you really are. The ego is your self~image; it is your social mask; it is the role you are playing. Your social mask thrives on approval. It wants control, and it is sustained by power, because it lives in fear...

"It’s easy to look at people and make quick judgments about them, their present and their past, but you’d be amazed at the pain and tears a single smile hides. What a person shows to the world is only one tiny facet of the iceberg hidden from sight. And more often then not, it’s lined with cracks and scars that go all the way to the foundation of their soul."
— Sherrilyn Kenyon
PEACE!
"All that is
possible for humankind to achieve
in the technological sphere is also
possible in the social, ecological and spiritual sphere.
The intelligence that
...was capable of developing electronic weapons is equally capable
-- if
focused differently -- of developing systems
of non-violent co-habitation."
- Dieter Duhm
Had so much fun at the Lazy Daisy Festival this past weekend!!!!!
I HOPE YOU ENJOY THE WORDS BELOW.NAMASTE,
MICHELE
Be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.
Talk health, happiness, and prosperity to every person you meet.
Make all your friends feel there is something in them.
Look at the sunny side of everything.
Be as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.
... Forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
Give everyone a smile.
Spend so much time improving yourself that you have no time left to criticize others.
Be too big for worry and too noble for anger.

"There are scores of people waiting for
someone just like us to come along;
people who will appreciate our compassion,
our encouragement, who will need
our unique talents. Someone who will
...live a happier life merely because we took
the time to share what we had to give."

Special request to all you kids returning to school in the next few days: If you see someone who is struggling to make friends or being bullied because he/she doesn't have many friends or because he/she is shy or not as pretty or not dressed in the most "in" clothes -PLEASE step up. Say HI or at least smile at him/her in the hallway. You never know what that person might be facing outside of school. Your kindness might just make a BIG difference in someone's life.

on being alive
“Live life fully while you're here. Experience everything. Take care of yourself and your friends. Have fun, be crazy, be weird. Go out and screw up! You're going to anyway, so you might as well enjoy the process. Take the opportunity to learn from your mistakes: find the cause of your problem and eliminate it. Don't try to be perfect; just be an excellent example of being human.”
-Anthony Robbins
Happiness
Your thoughts and your feelings create your life. It will always be that way. Guaranteed.
- Lisa Nichols
Happiness
We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.
- Frederick Keonig
lend a hand :)
"I dont want to live in the kind of world where we don't look out for each other. Not just the people that are close to us, but anybody who needs a helping hand. I can't change the way anybody else thinks, or what they choose to do, but I can do my bit."
— Charles de Lint
