this song amazes me....I can feel him singing it....beautiful.....
Leonard Cohen, on what the song 'Hallelujah' is about: "This world is full of conflicts and full of things that cannot be reconciled but there are moments when we can transcend the dualistic system and reconcile and embrace the whole mess and that's what I mean by 'Hallelujah'. That regardless of what the impossibility of the situation is, there is a moment when you open your mouth and you throw open your arms and you embrace the thing and you just say 'Hallelujah! Blessed is the name.' And you can't reconcile it in any other way except in that position of total surrender, total affirmation."
"No matter where you go, no matter what you
eat, no matter how many gifts you give and receive this holiday season,
unless you are actually present, it all flies by as if in a dream.
Satisfaction in anything--a meal, an interaction, a gift, a
sunset--depends on your willingness to take it in. Breathe. Feel your
arms and your legs. You are allowed to love every little thing about
yourself and your life. You are allowed to take up space and be all that
you are. Really you are." - Geneen Roth
She articulates everything that I have learned in this lifetime and am still learning....this book is so amazing.....beautiful soul and beautiful book!!!!!!
Sooo glad I got to hear him speak on Wednesday....He lifts me up. I have felt lighter all week.!!!!!!
Wayne Dyer tells a story of walking along the beach one day and someone
coming up to him and striking up a conversation, saying "Hi. I just
moved here from Chicago, Illinois. I was wondering, what are the people
like in this neighborhood? Because, where I came from, man, people are
hostile and self-centered and always in a rush and it was a dog eat dog
city."
Wayne calmly says, "Oh, you'll pretty much find it the same way here."
They respond "Oh, okay," and walk away.
Then, a little further down the shoreline, another person comes over to
him and says, "Hi, I just moved here from Podunk, Iowa and I'm new to
this area, and I was wondering what the people are like around here.
Because, where I came from, everybody was great. So friendly, small town
feeling, you could count on your neighbors..."
And Wayne Dyer calmly replies, "Oh, you'll pretty much find it the same way here."
They say,"Thanks," and walk away.
Why did he do that? Because everyone is our mirror and we carry our own
reality with us...how we view the world, through our own lens,
everywhere we go; and chances were high that the first person would find
their new environment just like their last. They would see people
through that lens, and the second person would be seeing the good in
those she met, creating her reality and carrying it with her to this new
place as well.
My friend Roberta and I got to see Wayne Dyer last night in Detroit. He is so inspiring!!! He played this song......which is very beautiful. I feel like I am vibrating very high right now. I hope you enjoy it.
Namaste,
Michele
I
like the color orange. I have a sign in my yard that says I like the
color orange. I have a bumper sticker on my car that says I like the
color orange. I only read books about the color orange and I think
Everyone should like the color...
orange like I do. If you like any other color, I will write mean
things about you and your favorite color on facebook. I think I am only
going to talk to people that like orange like I do. Orange is the only
color there is and the only way to live. ORANGE!!!!!!!!!!! orange
orange orange orange organge......Everyone should like orange like I do.

So grateful that my dad, Marko and Mark got to go the world series game last night and cheer the Giants onto the victory. Marko told Mark he did not want the night to end!!!!...They got home at 3am last night and Marko was up on time and ready for school this morning!!!! (his choice)
I am tired of the election campaigns....I don't even watch TV or listen to the radio...and I am tired of it. People are being mean to each other on facebook and taking sides and it really just splits everyone. My parents are voting the total opposite of me and I could care less....I enjoy their company and we don't try to discuss politics or change each other....we are who we are....I just wish all the money put into campaigning could actually be used to take care of the homeless and feed the people in Africa....we are here to build bridges and peace and not to divide each other. I could care less what your religion is and who you are voting for....I care where your spirit is and ARE YOU KIND?
Yeah..... I am going to need to see this!!!!
My friend, Emily from facebook showed me this. "SAMSARA is a Sanskrit word that means “the ever turning wheel of life” and is the point of departure for the filmmakers as they search for the elusive current of interconnection that runs through our lives. Fi...
lmed over a period of almost five years and in twenty-five countries, SAMSARA transports us to sacred grounds, disaster zones, industrial sites, and natural wonders. By dispensing with dialogue and descriptive text, SAMSARA subverts our expectations of a traditional documentary, instead encouraging our own inner interpretations inspired by images and music that infuses the ancient with the modern."
You think this is just
another day in your life. It's not just another day; it's the one day
that is given to you today. It's given to you. It's a gift. It's the
only gift that you have right now, and the only appropriate response is
gratefulness. If you do nothing else but to cultivate that response to
the great gift that this unique day is, if you learn to respond as if it
were the f...
irst day of your life, and the very last day, then you will have spent this day very well.
Begin by opening your eyes and be surprised that you have eyes you can
open, that incredible array of colors that is constantly offered to us
for pure enjoyment. Look at the sky. We so rarely look at the sky. We so
rarely note how different it is from moment to moment with clouds
coming and going. We just think of the weather, and even of the weather
we don't think of all the many nuances of weather. We just think of good
weather and bad weather. This day right now has unique weather, maybe a
kind that will never exactly in that form come again. The formation of
clouds in the sky will never be the same that it is right now. Open your
eyes. Look at that.
Look at the faces of people that you meet.
Each one has an incredible story behind their face, a story that you
could never fully fathom, not only their own story, but the story of
their ancestors. We all go back so far. And in this present moment on
this day all the people you meet, all that life from generations and
from so many places all over the world, flows together and meets you
here like a life-giving water, if you only open your heart and drink.
Open your heart to the incredible gifts that civilization gives to us.
You flip a switch and there is electric light. You turn a faucet and
there is warm water and cold water -- and drinkable water. It's a gift
that millions and millions in the world will never experience.
So these are just a few of an enormous number of gifts to which you can
open your heart. And so I wish for you that you would open your heart to
all these blessings and let them flow through you, that everyone whom
you will meet on this day will be blessed by you; just by your eyes, by
your smile, by your touch -- just by your presence. Let the gratefulness
overflow into blessing all around you, and then it will really be a
good day.

"We can make the best or the worst of it. I
hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle
you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet
people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re
proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the courage to
start all over again.”
― Eric Roth, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button screenplay
“People are just as wonderful as sunsets if
you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying,
"Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner." I don't try to
control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.” ― Carl R. Rogers
Mira and I got tattoos to celebrate her new transition into college life. Mira got the "let it be" on her foot and I got "remember love" inspired from John Lennon's artwork. She leaves next week and I am going to miss her, but I am so excited for her her journey!!!

This song has some pretty powerful lyrics!!!
Galileo Lyrics
Galileo's head was on the block
The crime was looking up for truth
And as the bombshells of my daily fears explode
I try to trace them to my youth
And then you had to bring up reincarnation
Over a couple of beers the other night
And now I'm serving time for mistakes
Made by another in another lifetime
How long till my soul gets it right
Can any human being ever reach that kind of light
I call on the resting soul of galileo
King of night vision, king of insight
And then I think about my fear of motion
Which I never could explain
Some other fool across the ocean years ago
Must have crashed his little airplane
How long till my soul gets it right
Can any human being ever reach that kind of light
I call on the resting soul of galileo
King of night vision, king of insight
[ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsfreak.com/i/indigo+girls/galileo_20067322.html ]
I'm not making a joke, you know me
I take everything so seriously
If we wait for the time till all souls get it right
Then at least I know there'll be no nuclear annihilation
In my lifetime I'm still not right
I offer thanks to those before me
That's all I've got to say
'Cause maybe you squandered big bucks in your lifetime
Now I have to pay
But then again it feels like some sort of inspiration
To let the next life off the hook
But she'll say "look what I had to overcome from my last life
I think I'll write a book"
How long till my soul gets it right
Can any human being ever reach the highest light
Except for Galileo God rest his soul
(Except for the resting soul of Galileo)
King of night vision, king of insight
How long
(Till my soul gets it right)
[Til we reach the highest light]
How long
(Till my soul gets it right)
[Til we reach the highest light]
How long
Macy said it bothered her to see trash wash up on the beach, so on vacation she got up really early and filled a big trash bags full of garbage
while she walked on the beach....mostly plastic water bottles and beer
bottles she said. Marko decided to join in the action one morning too.
The guy that took this picture was about my age and patiently waiting in
line for a picture with Chip and Dale. He had no legs and no right
hand.....he asked if we needed help taking a picture...he was smiling
the whole time in his wheelchair,
joking around with us and was truly glad to be alive and experiencing
life....he used to be a photographer before his injury.....I was blown
away by his energy and his excitement for life....after meeting him, Mira
and I started talking about people we know that have all 4 limbs that
are very negative about life and complain about everything and here was
this guy who lit up the place with his energy and enthusiasm...... He
truly made my day......
I did not realize that when I was taking a
picture for this man, that Macy was taking a picture with her camera. I
call this man my angel....b/c he woke me up to a lot of things on this
day....He was so happy to be there and experiencing life :) I hope I
can meet him again some day!!
"I honor the place in you where Spirit lives. I honor the place in you which is of Love, of Truth, of Light, of Peace; when you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, then we are Truly One."
